Groundbreaking

Caltrans SR 57/Lambert Road Interchange Project Groundbreaking

On Friday, June 21, Caltrans and the City of Brea held its groundbreaking ceremony for the 57/Lambert Road Interchange Improvement Project. We thank Caltrans and OCTA for partnering with the City of Brea on this highly anticipated project.

The $98 million project is set to begin construction by late summer/early fall, with a scheduled completion date by December 2021. This major improvement project will provide additional capacity, relieve congestion and enable future construction of the SR 57 northbound truck climbing lane. Caltrans is the lead agency on the construction. The City of Brea will be working closely with Caltrans to help minimize disruption and provide ongoing communication. For updates on the project, follow the City of Brea on social media and cityofbrea.net or visit dot.ca.gov/d12.

OC Animal Care

OC Animal Care Adoption Event

OC Animal Care needs your help! OC Animal Care is currently at almost double the shelter's capacity. With an additional 600 shelter pets out in foster care, that's over 1,200 pets who need a home to call their own. OC Animal Care believes in giving these pets every available chance for a forever family. To do this, the shelter is reducing their adoption fees until it reaches under 60% of their capacity. OC Public Works will remove and replace the guardrails at two bridge locations on Brea Boulevard, north of Canyon Country Roard in unincorporated Orange County. In an effort to reduce the impact on area motorists, all work activity will be performed weekday nights between the hours of 7:30 p.m. – 5:00 a.m. Motorists traveling through the project area will experience slow moving traffic and lane closures during regular working hours. Construction is anticipated to run from June 24 – August 19. Click here for more info.
