Due to water supply issues and worsening drought conditions in the state, efforts to conserve water remain important to protect water supplies. As a reminder, water conserving measures in Brea remain in effect and have shifted this month. From October to April, the watering schedule changes to watering one day a week, on Wednesdays. Automated irrigation systems should always be limited 10 minutes per station. The City of Brea is committed to saving water too! Passive turf areas at City facilities are being evaluated. Turf areas not being used for recreational purposes will no longer be watered. Sports fields will continue to be maintained and watered on their own schedule to keep fields safe for recreation. For more information, or to save money and water by participating in rebate programs that you may be applicable for, please visit: www.cityofbrea.net/water
