A Reminder That Fireworks Are Prohibited in Brea
With the 4th of July holiday next month, we want to remind you of Brea’s ban on fireworks. The sale, use, or discharge of all fireworks are prohibited in the City, even the “safe and sane” variety sold in other cities. Fireworks are dangerous and can be harmful to you, your property, and your pets. They are also a serious fire hazard as sparks from fireworks can travel to nearby homes or brush and ignite a fire.
If you are able to identify the exact location of someone using fireworks, please report it to Brea Police Department's non-emergency line at 714-990-7911. Violators face up to a $1,000 fine. Please help keep our community safe by adhering to Brea’s ban on fireworks.

Overnight Parking Enforcement to Resume
In response to the pandemic’s Stay-at-Home Order, overnight parking enforcement was suspended to accommodate more vehicles that needed to park on City streets. Recently, the Order was lifted. Beginning July 6, the Brea Police Department will resume all parking enforcement duties. This includes the enforcement of overnight parking. Please note, the permit sticker is removable and can be used on any of the vehicles listed in your account. It is to be placed inside the windshield on the lower left driver’s side.
Now is the time to make sure your overnight parking permit(s) has been renewed for the year, or if you need to apply for additional permits. Parking permits for 2021 are currently available online for $20. For more information, or to purchase a permit, call 714-671-4406, or visit cityofbrea.net/parkingpermits.
