Amended Health Orders and Strong Recommendations
As part of Orange County’s movement into the Red Tier 2 categoriztaion, County Health Officer Dr. Clayton Chau issued revised Health Orders and Strong Recommendations. These Orders and Strong Recommendations coincide with Orange County’s movement into the Red Tier 2.
Great Plates Delivered Meal Program Extended
The Great Plates Delivered program has been extended through October 9. This program delivers restaurant meals to seniors in need due to COVID-19. More information on this program can be found by clicking here.
Orange County Health Care Agency Statistics
As of today, the County is reporting 2 new COVID-19 cases in Brea. This brings the City’s cumulative total to 460 residents who have tested positive, and 6 residents have passed away from the virus. According to County statistics, there have been 50,613 confirmed COVID-19 cumulative cases county-wide, 142 of which were newly-reported today. Additionally, there has unfortunately been 1,081 cumulative deaths to date, with 12 newly-reported today. Currently, 223 cases are hospitalized, 65 of which are in the ICU. The County estimates 44,976 individuals have recovered, but that number is speculative.
