[ARCHIVED] Volunteers Needed for Home Delivered Meals Program

Volunteer drivers are needed to help deliver meals for needy Brea seniors. The Brea Senior Center’s Home Delivered Meal Program is a community-based volunteer effort distributing nutritious meals to homebound Brea seniors Monday through Friday. The service is designed to provide both long-term and short-term help for disabled, frail or chronically ill seniors as well as offer regular outside contact and encouragement from a caring volunteer.

Volunteer drivers can serve in short term, long term, or seasonal capacities as well as act as a substitute when a regular driver may not be available. Volunteer service schedule is approximately 1-1 ½ hours per week. Delivery routes are created to most efficiently use the volunteers’ time and conserve gasoline.

For more information, call Tim Takahashi at the Brea Senior Center, 714-990-7750.
