[ARCHIVED] Children's Developmental Screenings on April 15

Brea’s Family Resource Center partners with the Orange County Family Support Network to offer free developmental screenings for children, newborn to five years-old. This will be on Friday, April 15, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Brea Community Center.

Families will receive a comprehensive screening to see how their infant or young child is progressing. Screenings offered are: audiology, dental care, emotional health, fine and gross motor skills, general health, speech and language and vision. Specialists in early childhood development will talk with parents and guardians about results and appropriate referrals will be made.

Early childhood is a time of crucial physical, social and cognitive development that is indicative of how a child grows into adulthood. Understanding a child’s growth is a valuable parenting tool beneficial for the entire family.

No more than 65 children will be screened and services will be provided in order of arrival. Participants should allow approximately one hour, plus any wait time, to complete all the screenings. Questions can be directed to Family Support Network at 714-447-3301.
