Volunteers can help clear the local watershed as part of an important state-wide program to prevent pollution from running off into the ocean. Inner Coastal Cleanup Day will be on Saturday, September 19, from 8:00 a.m. to noon. The Brea Creek channel will be cleared behind downtown parking structure 2, off of Mercury Lane. Volunteers should wear sturdy shoes, work gloves, hats and sunscreen.
