Acrylic Pet Portrait Painting for Kids
Course #: 12573
Instructor: Salem Cade
Sundays, June 7th, 14th, and 28th*, 1:00pm - 3:00pm
This brand new kid’s workshop will take place in the Gallery on three consecutive Sunday afternoons. Your child will have the opportunity to paint a portrait of their favorite animal or pet! Using a photograph as a reference, students will learn how to measure proportions to create a realistic animal painting. Useful skills such as how to create different textures like fur, feathers, and scales will also be taught. By the end of this class, your child will have a wonderful painting of their favorite animal or childhood pet to take home and cherish for a lifetime.
The acrylic paints used are safe, non-toxic, and easy to use. Bring an art smock or shirt you don’t mind getting paint on. All skill levels are welcome. All materials, supplies, and canvas are included in the registration fee. Bring a photograph to use as a reference
*workshop dates do not include Sunday, June 21st because it is a holiday
