The Annual event, Inner Coastal Clean-up Day, is an essential piece of the statewide California Coastal Cleanup Day. Inland partners make this overall environmental program a success by taking tons of trash from urban runoff out of local watersheds before it flows out to beaches or into the ocean.
Brea will participate once again with volunteers clearing the Brea Creek Channel on Saturday, Sep-tember 20, between 8:00 to 11 a.m. Volunteers will assemble behind downtown parking structure #2 off of Mercury Lane to begin their task.
You can sign up as an individual or group. Children must be supervised by a responsible adult and all participants are advised to wear sturdy shoes and work clothes, as well as hats and sunscreen.
Groups wishing to take responsibility for additional clean-up areas should contact the project coordinator in advance by calling 714-990-7672.
