Carbon Canyon Road is now open. However, inclement weather could require an additional closure; please plan accordingly. You may call the hotline, 714-990-7732, for a recorded message on the latest status.
Carbon Canyon Road will be CLOSED AGAIN on Friday, April 4, at 9:00 pm and will remain closed all weekend with a scheduled re-opening of Monday, April 7, at 4:00 am. This second closure will allow Caltrans to complete necessary road and hillside repairs.
There has been no significant damage or injuries reported in the city. However, staff continues with follow-up activity to Friday's 5.1 earthquake and the numerous aftershocks that were felt in the area. Building and safety officials have responded to inquiries for residential inspections where cracking has been observed in either foundations or chimneys. Call 714-617-4406 to report such damage.
