Join children's instructor Aimee Aul as she guides students in creating an original work of art inspired by a great artist of the past or present. Click on a session to register.

February 21 - Georgia O'Keeffe

In this session, students will use oil pastels to create large scale portraits of the natural world inspired by O'Keeffe's work.

March 21 - Gustav Klimt

In this session, gold paint and paint pens will be used to create a lavish "Tree of Life" in the style of this Art Nouveau revolutionary.

April 18 - Chesley Bonestell

In this session, science meets fiction. Students will use acrylic paint to create scenic galaxies inspired by images from the Hubble Space Telescope.

May 16 - Pablo Picasso

Picasso's decorative ceramics will be the inspiration for these creations with air dry clay.

June 20 - Hsu Wei

Learn the basic strokes of Chinese brush work and make traditional bamboo paintings inspired by this Ming Dynasty genius.

September 19 - Faith Ringgold

Pay homage to this great African American artist by using paint, paper, and fabric to tell stories inspired by her quilt patterns.

October 17 - Jose Guadalupe Posada

Inspired by this 19th century printmaker, we will be making joyful Posada calaveras (skulls) using printmaking techniques.

November 21 - Rosa Bonheur

This French painter loved animals! Pick your favorite animal and we will make one in 2 and 3 dimensions: drawing and sculpture!
