[ARCHIVED] Brea Police Launches 'Community Video Partner'

Become a Community Video Partner by registering your video surveillance cameras with the Brea Police.  Part of Brea Community Watch, this voluntary program will provide Brea police with an important, time-saving tool.  The goal of the program is to assist the Brea Police Department, residents and business owners by building a video camera registry.  With this information, the Department is able to map out the camera locations throughout the town. In the event of a crime, officers may contact the registered individual to obtain a copy of the footage to assist in the investigation.  All camera locations are kept in a secure database. Police will not have direct access to surveillance systems. Officers will only contact camera owners in the event of a crime occurring nearby.  Anyone with a home or business video surveillance is encouraged to register.  Help keep Brea safe.  It's easy to register using the online form.
