Summer Fun Club offers a mini-day camp type of experience for young elementary school children, from kindergarten through third grades. This summer enrichment program offers varied activities and creative play twice weekly for action-packed mornings at the Brea Community Center.
Kids participate in organized games, sample different craft projects, enjoy indoor activities, plus have playground time as an outlet for all that extra energy. Two separate four-week sessions help parents plan around their vacations. Sign up for both sessions and save! Summer Fun Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Choose Mondays and Wednesdays from June 26 through August 16 or Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 27 to August 17. Participation costs $113 per session. Book both sessions and save.
There is also Summer Craft Club for kids in first through sixth grades. It provides hands-on experience in a variety of craft mediums during a series of four different sessions. Each will meet from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons over a two-week period.
All materials are included with a keepsake collection of clever projects to take home after each session. “Kids in the Kitchen” opens the summer from June 27 through July 6. On July 11 through 20 the theme shifts to “Trash to Treasure” followed by “Art Mania” from July 25 through August 3. The final two-week session is called “Science and Nature” running from August 8 through 17. Participation for each of these two-week sessions is $42.
