Community celebration continues with the Centennial Picnic at the Brea Sports Park from
11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Members of the Brea Ministerial Association are coordinating varied food booths that will be featuring favorite foods at 1917 prices. Be sure to bring along lots of coins along with your picnic chairs or lawn blankets!
Several baseball games, including a re-enactment of the legendary Babe Ruth vs. Walter Johnson exhibition match-up in 1924, will span the afternoon. Throughout the picnic all can enjoy
live musical performances from some favorite bands, Surfin’ and Yard Sale, and other acts. Plus, a classic car show, games and a kids’ petting zoo promise to involve all ages in the festivities.
Souvenir merchandise; shirts, caps, magnets and patches will be available for sale at the Picnic. This will also be an opportunity to purchase tickets for Brea’s special night at Angel Stadium on July 18.
