This large-scale construction project, valued at $98 million, is currently under construction. All Lambert Road on-ramps and off-ramps, including the new northbound on-ramp loop, are operational. The improvement project is anticipated to be substantially completed in December 2023. 

Improvements include providing additional capacity, better traffic flow, enhanced safety, reduced congestion and delays. Caltrans is the lead agency and is responsible for all aspects of construction management throughout the project, including traffic control and primary public communication. City staff meets with Caltrans regularly to get construction updates and works with the agency on ways to minimize construction disruption and share their public information updates.
