Projects Out to Bid Available Online
The City of Brea Public Works Department is now using a third-party site for distribution of Capital Improvement Project (CIP) bid documents, RFQs, and RFPs. View active projects and current bid information.
The Public Works Department of the City of Brea invites interested contractors to complete a Contractor’s Qualification Application to be placed on the City of Brea’s 2023 Qualified Contractor’s list. This list is designed so contractors can receive “Notice Inviting Bids” for informal projects under $200,000 in their work category, per California Public Contract Code Section 22034. Only qualified contractors will be notified. Those who wish to participate in the City of Brea public bid process will want to review the Notice Inviting Qualified Bidders. Two forms should be placed on file in advance of bidding: Pre-Qualification Application and Responsible Bidders Questionnaire.

This site and CIPLIST.com are the only sites for prospective bidders to obtain digital copies of official city bid documents. The city does not warrant, represent, or guarantee the accuracy or completeness of any bid documents and/or information retrieved from any third party source other than CIPLIST.com. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to check this website and CIPLIST.com on a daily basis through the close of bids for any applicable addenda or updates.
City bid documents are provided electronically and free of charge. Each prospective bidder must download and print all bid documents for review and bid. It is the responsibility of each prospective bidder to verify the completeness of their printed bid documents before submitting a bid and accompanying executed addenda acknowledgement forms.
No hard copy bid documents will be available for purchase.
Further information and instructions for city bid documents can be found in each project’s Notice Inviting Bids.
All city bid awards will be posted on this site or CIPLIST.com. Because of limited storage capacity, bid results will be removed upon the award of a contract for that project and/or upon the resolution of any challenge to such award.
The City of Brea also encourages the participation of small and disadvantaged business enterprises in its public projects. For more information on available training and assistance, please visit the California Construction Contracting Program (CCCP) website.
