About the Department

The Brea Fire Department is comprised of 54 trained fire professionals that serve a residential population of more than 47,000 and a daytime population of 120,000 as people visit Brea to work and recreate. The Fire Department command staff is comprised of three Battalion Chiefs, a Deputy Chief, and a Fire Chief.

Our four fire stations provide fire protection and life safety services to a geographical area of 12.43 square miles, which includes residential, commercial and wild land interface areas. Our Fire/paramedic personnel and our civilian staff play a variety of important roles including fire and medical response, emergency management and disaster preparedness, training, fire prevention and hazardous material response.
