The Brea City Council approved fees on October 1, 2018, (Resolution No. 2018-053) for many city provided inspection and permit services. Listed below are the cost recovery fees that can be found in the approved fee schedule.
Fire & Life Safety Inspection/Residential Care Facility Pre-Inspection
- $120 - Minimum Inspection for Small Businesses
- Each additional hour - $119 / hour
- $180 - Minimum Inspection for Large Businesses
- Each additional hour - $119 / hour
Fire Department Permit Fees
- Special Event/Temporary Use Permit - $69
- Candle/Open Flame Permit - $69
- Annual Fire Permit (Category II) - $187 new permit
- Each additional new permit on the same visit - $30
- Renewal - $59
- Each additional renewal permit on the same visit - $30
Fire Code Noncompliance Fee for Re-Inspection
- Normal Code Enforcement - $119
- Large Code Enforcement - $349
Fire False Alarm
- Per Response - $192
Event Standby Fee (Two Hour Minimum)
- Fire Prevention Specialist I - $160 / hour
- Fire Prevention Specialist II - $160 / hour
- Fire Marshal - $160 / hour
