The primary mission of the Brea Fire Services Department is the delivery of life safety services. The department provides 24-hour emergency response to a wide variety of critical situations, including fires, explosions, hazardous materials incidents, medical emergencies, accidents and miscellaneous public assistance requests. In addition, the department operates a very active Fire Prevention Program and Emergency Preparedness Program which provides for fire inspections, hazardous process permitting, fire code enforcement, public education and business emergency planning in accordance with California Code of Regulations.

Brea Medical Alert Can Help During Emergencies
Brea's Medical Alert program (formerly named Life E-lert) is designed to help firefighters obtain important  health information when responding to medical emergencies. Seniors, their caregivers and families, or anyone who has a medical condition and/or takes medication will benefit from participating. Simply click here to download a form, print and fill out completely.Then attach it to your refrigerator with a magnet.(Remember to update your information regularly.) Brea's Paramedics are trained to look for this form on your refrigerator.Brea Medical Alert forms and magnets are available at three locations in Brea:  the Brea Senior Center (500 Sievers Ave.), Fire Administration (Floor 3 of #1 Civic Cultural Center Circle) and the Family Resource Center, located in the Brea Community Center (695 E. Madison).
