Informed citizens are the hallmark of quality communities. Communication with residents and businesses has been a top priority for the Brea City Council over many years. In addition to the official city newsletter, Brea Line, regular press releases, emails and other periodic direct mailings, the City continues to also expand electronic contact through the City’s website, RSS feeds, and other social media channels. 

This website offers the most comprehensive collection of City of Brea public information. Take a minute to subscribe to Brea News as it is featured here and receive direct updates. Make a choice of subject categories that are of interest to you with the RSS option and receive articles when they are posted. There are also links for you to subscribe and receive notices sent via Facebook or Twitter. 

As the Brea City Council conducts business and various internal departments implement projects, current news will always be shared with the public. There is an ongoing commitment to distribution through articles and useful links that will be posted here first

Brea Earns High Marks in Community Survey
In its second Community Satisfaction Survey, Brea earned very favorable comments from residents on a wide range of city services. In comparing the results with the survey conducted in 2008, the results were strikingly similar indicating that the community as a whole feels the city is has continued to perform well even through the recession. For example, an overwhelming majority (96%) of respondents rated the quality of life in Brea as either excellent or good. (To view the complete report, please click here.)

The City of Brea does not endorse the painting of addresses on curbs, nor the solicitation of residents to pay for such services. Please use discretion before handing over a personal check or cash to a solicitor who may not have a valid city business license or permit for such work.
