Summer Day Camp
Summer Day Camp
Brea's Summer Day Camp is a favorite! Parents will want to sign up early to assure they have space. The program typically fills to capacity each week so early sign-ups are advisable. Each week also includes excursions to local attractions.

This popular program is centrally located at the Brea Community Center and offers the most variety of activity for elementary school aged kids and also the best value for parents. With weekly excursions, plus additional local outings for swimming, movies and park visits, kids enjoy fun activities daily. Modest pricing affords every family a great choice for summer day camp.

Comfortable indoor spaces are used for games, crafts, computers, sports and educational presentations. In addition, the location is very convenient for parent drop-offs and pick-ups and for campers to make nearby explorations. Participants get out regularly for weekly downtown movie days, park visits plus a swim session. Friday lunch BBQs continue to be a favorite weekly activity. Summer Day Camp also includes a weekly bus excursion to popular regional vacation attractions like theme parks and beaches.

Day campers stay busy under the watchful eye of trained staff members with a child to leader ratio of 12 to 1. Personal electronics and gaming devices are not permitted to be brought from home in order to enhance shared experiences. The focus in all activities is on making friends and positive memories.

Summer Day Camp is open to kids who have just completed Kindergarten through 6th grade. For 2017, the program begins on June 19. More information will be added here as it is available. An inclusive weekly fee covers the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sign up for one week at a time or reserve the entire summer. Spaces are limited on a first come, first served basis.

Parents will need to register in person at the Brea Community Center front counter and will be asked for proof of residency. A parent packet is available containing important information. For programming questions, you may call (714) 990-7179.
