Nutrition
Healthy nutrition is important at any age. The Brea Senior Center offers several options depending on your needs.

Congregate Lunch Program

All Brea residents are invited to lunch at the Brea Senior Center. Lunch is provided by Senior Serv., Inc., Monday through Thursday promptly at noon. Monthly menus are posted at the Senior Center, in the senior publication What’s Doin’ and online.

The congregate lunch dining program serves a wide variety of delicious, healthy lunches where guests enjoy a tasty meal along with friendly conversation and fellowship. For all meals, a donation of $3.00 or more per meal is suggested for those 60 years of age and older. The fee for those less than 60 years of age is $5.00. Free bus transportation is provided for qualifying Brea seniors on a space available basis.

Special Friday Lunch

Friday lunch is a special treat at the Brea Senior Center. We cater out to local restaurants or have our very own Chef Francesco whip us up a tasty meal. Monthly menus are posted at the Senior Center, in the What’s Doin’ newsletter, and online. Seniors 60 and older may join for just $3.00. Anyone under the age of 60 may join for $5.00. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required at least one day in advance.

Home Delivered Meals
The Brea Senior Center’s Home Delivered Meal Program is a community-based volunteer effort distributing nutritious meals to frail and homebound Brea seniors Monday through Friday. In partnership with Community SeniorServ, Inc., Brea offers home delivered meal for seniors (60 years and older) who are unable to shop for and/or prepare nutritious meals. The service is designed to provide both long term and short term help for disabled, frail, or chronically ill seniors, as well as offer regular outside contact and encouragement from a caring volunteer.  For more information, please contact our Case Manager at 714-990-7781.
