Theatre Rental

Once you have contacted us to confirm an available date for your rental, you may submit your deposit to reserve your dates with our rental reservation form.

2016/17 RENTAL RATES & FEES


Brea residents - $113 per hour
Non Res/Non Profit - $148 per hour
Non Res/Commercial - $153 per hour


Minimum of four (4) hours per rental day. 

Rates include: 
Use of the Theatre (lobby, backstage areas, tech booth and house).
House Light plot and basic sound. 
One Theatre Technician is also included to assist you with the technical elements of your engagement. Many engagements require an additional Theatre Technician. 
 
More Information:
A refundable $500 deposit and the completion of a Rental Reservation form is required to hold any dates. This deposit is in addition to your rental balance, and is refunded thirty (30) days after the completion of the rental. Additional staff or rental fees incurred will be deducted from this deposit. 

Insurance is required. Please see www.curtistheatre.com/ rentals for Insurance Requirements or to learn how to purchase special event insurance. 

Proof of non-profit status must be noted at the time of Rental Reservation. Proof non-profit status is a copy of your organization’s 501 3-C#, filed with the State of California. 

Brea-based organizations are defined having a Brea address or those demonstrating 80% membership with Brea residents.

Dark Day fee is $500, per day. This fee is only applicable if there is a break in the number of days rented by your organization. This fee is applied, as the Theatre would not be open to other programming or for other rentals, in between the dates your organization has rented.

These are optional services available for an additional fee.
Wireless Mics - $30 each, per day
Piano - $75, per day
Projector - $110 per day
Rear Projection Screen & Projector - $185 per day
Addition Theatre Technician - $33 per hour for the duration of your engagement. 
House Manager - $20
Box Office Services - $120 set up fee, $2 per ticket. Includes sale through the Theatre Box Office during dedicated hours and 24/7 sales through an online ticketing system and customer services by phone. On the night of performance two (2) Audience Services staff members will staff the Box Office, and handle any seating or ticketing issues.
