Centennial Celebration
Oil Derrik
On February 23, 1917, Brea's founding families incorporated a small wildcatting oil town and put the City of Brea on the map. Since then, Brea has grown into a vibrant business, recreation and cultural center boasting housing and services for a diverse community. Now it’s time to celebrate the 100-year journey that created one of Orange County’s premier cities!

Centennial Events
Planning is underway for 2017's Centennial Celebration! A list of events is available for what the Centennial Steering Committee has planned so far. Would you like your organization's event to be considered as a Centennial event? Fill out the event authorization form

Join the Parade
Be a part of the Centennial parade on Saturday, February 18! Applications are now available. The deadline to submit is January 18. For more information, contact Pageantry Productions at
562-746-2300 or email.

Not sure what to enter? Get creative and get rolling! If it rolls, or you can push it, or if you have a group to assemble and walk, you're probably onto an idea. What about scooters, bikes, golf carts with a unique decorative overlay? A stroller or wagon brigade? Smiling faces on the sidelines will be amused and ready to cheer on your group's show of spirit.

Whatever you devise, remember that safety comes first. Check over the official guidelines to be sure you're safe to go.
