3rd Clay and Glass Biennial
The 3rd Clay and Glass Biennial Exhibition was on display from January 24 to March 6, 2015. The City of Brea Art Gallery and the Association of Clay and Glass Artists of California paired up to present a dazzling display of works in both the clay and glass mediums.This diverse exhibition was comprised of juried works as well as works from from a small handful of invited local artists. Jurors, Mary Bayard White for glass Lana Wilson for Clay, selected a stunning array from both mediums for this exhibition. Blown, fused, and stained glass in addition to hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramics were on display.

30th Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition
The 30th Annual Made in California Juried Exhibition was on display from March 28 to May 8, 2015. This exhibition celebrated three decades of exhibition history with additional awards, special honors, and a fun reflection on previous year's winners. Following the success of last 2014's makeover and the addition of a highly sought after solo show opportunity, this annual exhibition continued the proud tradition of displaying works from artists all over California. This multi-disciplinary survey of art, featured artists working in all mediums, in every stage of their artistic careers, and highlighted established artists while revealing new creative movements.

Curious Mediums: Peculiar and Surprising Works of Art

The Curious Mediums Exhibition was on view from May 30 to July 12, 2015. Unusual materials "take the cake" in this unique exhibition featuring artists working in exciting and unexpected ways. From staples and duct tape, to gummi bears and chili peppers -- anything was fair game in this show! This exhibit explored the potential to make artwork out of any material and hoped to open viewers' minds to the limitlessness of creativity.

Into the Light: Plein Air Invitational

The Into the Light Plein Air Invitational was on view from August 1 to September 13, 2015. This exhibition celebrated California's fascination with the impressionistic approach to landscape, cityscape, and seascape painting and its role in the state's transformation as an art hub. This study of light was a compilation of local plein air artists featuring a selection of works ranging from oils to watercolors to pastels. Works in the show depicted recognizable local scenes including Huntington Beach, Brea Canyon, and many more familiar sights. The show also included a special behind-the-scenes look into the life of a plein air artist through videos, pictures, and stories shared by the participating artists.

47th Annual Watercolor West International Juried Exhibition

The 47th Annual Watercolor West Exhibition was on view from October 17 to December 13, 2015. Recognized as the leaders in the traditional transparent watercolor technique, Watercolor West once again brought to the City of Brea Art Gallery an exhibition of the finest examples of the watercolor medium. Juror Stephen Quiller selected 100 works from over 1,000 international entries. Quiller also hosted the Gallery's first week long watercolor workshop in which he focused on his area of expertise, color theory and mixing.
