There are many holiday activities happening around town this time of year. Here's a look at some of the fun things planned for the holiday season:
The annual Tree Lighting Celebration is on Thursday, December 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Brea Civic & Cultural Center. Live music and entertainment will put everyone in the holiday mood. Watch the holiday tree light up the evening and see children’s eyes sparkle when Mr. and Mrs. Santa drop in for a visit. Pictures with Santa are available for just $5. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Admission is free.
Attention parents of all good little Brea boys and girls! Have your child write a letter to Santa and they will receive a personalized reply. Letters may be dropped off no later than Wednesday, December 12, at a special mailbox located at the west entrance of the Community Center, or send your cards and letters to Santa Claus, North Pole c/o Brea Community Center, 695 E. Madison Way, Brea, CA 92821. Santa and his elves from the Brea Olinda High School Girls’ League, will begin reading letters and sending replies after December 1. Be sure to enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope so Santa can reply quickly.
Tickets go on sale on November 12 for the Brea Trolley Holiday Light Tours. Experience a holiday night and ride the Brea Trolley to see local lights with friends and family.
