Investment Advisory Committee
Recruitment Period Open
Applications are now being accepted for the City of Brea Investment Advisory Committee. Positions are normally considered to be a four-year commitment. Those with relevant background and interest are encouraged to apply.
Interviews will take place no later than one week before the March 7, 2017, City Council meeting. The applications will be reviewed by a council sub-committee. Following interviews, nominees are selected for acceptance by a formal vote of the entire council.
Each of these citizen groups plays an important role in the Brea community by making observations and bringing ongoing feedback to the council members. Various commissions or committees will have different areas of expertise. At regular monthly meetings they work with staff members and may be asked to review proposed new projects or to comment on activities already underway around town. While there is no compensation for participation on commissions and committees, the service given is meaningful to all Brea residents.

The Investment Advisory Committee shall be composed of seven (7) members, including a City Council Member (who shall serve as chairperson), the City Treasurer, the Administrative Services Director, the Financial Services Manager/Revenue, a City Managers' designee, and two (2) at large public members appointed by the City Council.
Brea safeguards public funds by prudent investing practices. Providing oversight is the Investment Advisory Committee.
